About the Role
Reporting directly to the executive team, you’ll oversee the performance, strategy, and innovation of RSPCA Qld’s retail operations, including:
🐾 RSPCA World for Pets:
One of Australia’s leading pet retailers, directly funding animal welfare
🐾 RSPCA Pets at Rest:
Compassionate pet memorial services
🐾 Black Cat Cafe:
A community café with a rescue mission
🐾 RSPCA Adoptions:
Where retail meets rescue through in-store adoption experiences
This role requires a commercially astute leader who can balance purpose with performance, guiding teams across multiple sites to deliver strong financial outcomes while keeping animal welfare at the heart of everything we do.
Key Responsibilities
• Develop and implement growth strategies across all retail divisions
• Lead, mentor, and motivate retail teams across diverse business units
• Drive operational excellence, customer experience, and innovation
• Oversee budgets, reporting, and ensure alignment with RSPCA Qld’s mission
• Build strong stakeholder relationships, internally and externally
About You
We’re looking for someone with:
• Senior retail leadership experience (multi-site, multi-brand)
• Strong commercial and strategic thinking, with a growth mindset
• A passion for animal welfare and social enterprise
• Proven leadership, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Experience in e-commerce, marketing and customer-centric strategy
